Orang Utans Tour at Samboja Lestari

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport – Samboja Lestari (D)

Upon arrival at Sepinggan Airport Balikpapan. Meet our representative in the airport and direct transfer to Samboja Lestari. Activities during in Samboja Lestari will handle by their staff there. Meals will provide at Samboja Lodge. Stay at Samboja Lodge.

Day 2. Activities at Samboja Lestari Area (B/L/D)

All activities will arrange by Samboja Lestari’s staff (see the activities on the attachment).

Day 3. Activities at Samboja Lestari Area – Balikpapan (B/L)

All activities will arrange by Samboja Lestari’s staff (see the activities on the attachment). In the afternoon, we will pick you up ath the lodge and transfer to Balikpapan where you stay. Tour is end.


FULL DAY VISIT TO SAMBOJA LESTARI

BORNEO ORANGUTAN SURVIVAL FOUNDATION (BOS)

Itinerary

Morning

Leaving your hotel at 8.30am. You will travel to the Samboja Lestari 1200 hectare reserve. At the heart of the reserve is Samboja Lodge where you will receive your welcome drink. After a short rest we then climb to the “tree house” where your guide will

give you an overview of the world’s largest and most famous primate rescue operation. This is your chance to learn what it takes to save a species and the rainforest. Leaving the lodge you will now begin your walking tour to visit the orangutan island (Can’t touch of orangutan directly) and sun bear sanctuary, returning to the Lodge for lunch.

Afternoon

After a traditional Indonesian lunch you will continue your tour to visit other important facilities of the BOS project including the composting center, the nursery and the BOS offices with its satellite transponder. Finally you will plant your own tree before returning back to the Lodge for refreshments. Departing for Balikpapan around 4.00pm. BOS is an ethically operated project and the donation from your visit goes directly to subsidizing the cost of orangutan rehabilitation so that someday the orangutan will be free again.
